Another Bear Arrested

It was just about two weeks ago that Chicagoist mentioned yet another Tank Johnson arest, when he got hauled in for threatening a cop and then resisting arrest outside the Level nightclub. We asked for predictions about where and why Tank would next run into problems with the men in blue.
Friend of Chicagoist and Trib columnist/blogger Eric Zorn emailed us at the time to suggest we had the workings of a Bears Clue board game if we expanded it beyond just Tank.
The latest winner in Bears Clue is whomever picked: Daven Holly arrested for gun charges.
The Bears cornerback was arrested early Tuesday morning near the intersection of Division and Milwaukee after a shot was fired from inside a SUV.
Witnesses pointed out the vehicle to the police, who arrested Holly and his passenger, Carlitez Thompson. Holly was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and not having a Firearms Owner Identification Card. Thompson, who's suspected of actually firing the shot, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge.
When will these athletes learn that the rules of society apply to them, too? Are they misreading the Second Amendment in a way that they think all Bears have the right to firearms? And when will they realize the threat to their livlihood? Especially in the NFL, where contracts are not guaranteed. The Bears could up and cut his ass tomorrow for this and it's not like there's a huge market for 5th-string cornerbacks who can play special teams. He won't look so tough when he's no longer able to afford his Escalade or Hummer, and ends up having to cruise through neighborhoods in a Kia.
