Man Caught Stealing Bones

largeview_parish.jpg So here's a story for you: A man was caught stealing religious relics from a church. Well, he was stealing religious relics and what are believed to be the bones of a saint from a church.

Actually, he was stealing the religious relics, bones and boots of a saint. And when he was caught, he was wearing the boots.

At St. John de la Salle church on the South Side of Chicago, a man created the kind of headline that newspapers die for when he was caught red-booted by a priest. He was charged with burglary, and the candleholders, bones and boots are presumably back in the church.

There are some lingering questions here, though, like how come we didn't know about a church with saint bones in it? It's only "alleged" that these are saint bones, but there's at least a novelty there, or something you can throw out at parties to impress your friends. According to this fairly odd website Chicago is home to other holy bones, but this is probably not a primary source (or probably a viable one). We just included it to start a rumor.
