Forever’s Gonna Start Tonight

Chicagoist isn’t much of a romantic, but we don’t mind offering a little help to our more tenderhearted friends. So here, via Mr. Tom Skilling, is a friendly tip: There will be a lunar eclipse tonight, visible over the Lake Michigan waters as the sun sets at 5:51 p.m.

OK, it won’t be a total eclipse of the moon and it’s a little chilly, but it’s an eclipse over the lake at sunset, don’t get greedy. So if you’re the romantic type, maybe you surprise your significant other at the end of the workday with a bottle of wine, perhaps some cheese, and a blanket (make that a couple of blankets) and zip on over to your favorite lakefront spot.

The rest is up to you. Just don’t say we never gave you anything.
