Lolla-Fork-Onation Fests Continue Teasing Us

2006_03_crowd.jpgThis week in Chicagoland is turning out to be the week of updating who will be playing at what fest.

Tomorrow at 8:30 am is the big Lollapalooza line up announcement. Official on-sale date for tickets/wristbands to be announced as well. We will be throwing something up regarding this as close to the announcement as possible - we can only type so fast while "working". We're still scratching our heads wondering who thought it was a good idea to make an announcement at 8:30 from SXSW. No self-respecting music journalist would be up that early, would they? Scott?

Meanwhile, Intonation and Pitchfork keep dribbling out who is officially performing as agreements are in place. Pitchfork has added: Spoon, Yo La Tengo, Tapes N Tapes and others for a total of 1/3 of the final 36 bands slated to appear. Intonation adds to The Streets and Bloc Party with The Stills, Boredoms, Jose Gonzalez, Lady Sovereign, Chromeo, Jon Brion and Panthers.

By the end of the week, we could possibly know all there is to know about which fest, which night's performance and which dollar amount fits us like a glove.
