Your TV Is On Fire

Chicagoians will be able to watch more than half the Chicago Fire games on television this season. The Fire are slated to play in seven nationally televised games on either ABC or ESPN, including their season opener on April 1 at FC Dallas.

This past week the Chicago Fire and Comcast SportsNet announced that ten regular season games will be aired on the regional sports network. Of the seventeen televised matches, nine will be played at the Fire's new Bridgeview Stadium. Fans can view the updated Chicago Fire schedule on their website, Chicago-Fire.com.

If you want to pony up the big bucks for even more soccer coverage, MLS and Direct TV are offering the MLS Direct Kick Package again this year for $69. (Chicagoist is currently going through the sofa cushions on a loose change hunt.) No word yet on an iN Demand version of the package that has been offered in previous season to cable subscribers.
