Apartment Dwellers: Analyze This

By Joanna Miller in Miscellaneous on Apr 11, 2006 5:03PM

apartment1.jpgApartment living in Chicago just got a lot more fun or, at least, mentally stable. Apartmenttherapy.com, already a favorite in New York and LA, just launched its new Chicago site.

Founder Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan runs a New York interior design practice by the same name, hosts HGTV’s “Small Space, Big Style” and is the author of "Apartment Therapy: The Eight Step Home Cure." If the site wasn't so full of drool-inducing goodies, we'd totally hate him.

Chicago co-editors Janel Laban and Heather Blaha alert readers to sales and events and profile local stores and services – they even scour local Craigslist furniture ads so you don’t have to. With these finds, who needs Prozac?

Chicagoist is always wishing we could see what our neighbors’ apartments look like inside and the site’s House Tours let us do just that. We’re inspired already. And with spring upon us, we can’t wait to start scavenging local flea markets to spruce up our own place. It could certainly use some intense therapy. Let's just say we've got some issues to work through.
