- 4th Grade Teacher to the Rescue! A boy in Will County has kidney disease and is getting a transplant. His teacher is the one donating the kidney.
- Paris Barclay, director of "Cold Case," came back to his suburban hometown of Barclay this weekend to donate his childhood home to Habitat for Humanity.
- Ford Motor announced there will be a bunch of layoffs at their Chicago assembly plant.
- Remember that little kid that was killed when that Southwest plane skidded off the runway at Midway? His family filed suit against Southwest and Boeing this week.
- Turns out that chicks who go and get their nails manicured don't want to mess them up by buckling their seatbelt when they leave. Police are going around to nail salons in Wilmette to tell employees there to tell their customers to buckle up. Is this all police in Wilmette have to worry about?
- Starting this week, bus lines will be rerouted for about a month because of work on a water main in Lakeview.
