The Cubs' Junk is a Cubs Fan's Treasure

2006_04_garage_sale.jpgThe Cubs are having a garage sale on Saturday at Wrigley Field from 8am - 4pm. On sale will be bricks from the old bleacher wall, bleacher benches, flags, scoreboards and foul poles. Now's your chance to forever have bleacher seats. Also, there will be discounted Cubs merchandise, game-used equipment and autographed schwag.

Enter the ballpark via Gate D (Sheffield/Addison) and Gate K (Waveland) on the day of the sale. Cash and credit are accepted and proceeds to go charity.

A good opportunity for Cubs fans to get their hands on some authentic memorabilia, but does it seem like the Cubs are just cleaning house? Like "Hey, whatta we gonna do with these old bricks? Oh! Let's sell them!" Then again, that's pretty much the definition of "garage sale." One man's junk ... yada, yada, yada.
