Intonation Fest Ticket Giveaway: The Words and Stuff Version

By Scott Smith in Miscellaneous on May 18, 2006 2:16PM

Chicagoist is giving away two more weekend passes to Intonation, but this time you’re going to have to work for it. Even though some people broke the rules and uttered The Words That Must Never Be Spoken in comments, we decided to give away two more passes anyway. Because we love you.

2006_05_intonation.jpgWhat intrigued us most about the last giveaway was that a couple of you believed you should be awarded the passes as a reward for your loyalty or because you’re “swell.” Chicagoist agrees with you, dear reader. You are swell. But it’s up to you to tell us why.

To enter this contest, send an email to chicagoistcontest@gmail.com. Tell us why you think you should be the one to win the two free passes, but keep it to a hundred words or less, Dickens. The Chicagoist Jury (including David Singer, one of the organizers of Intonation Fest) will wade through your brilliant missives and pick one winner. The winner will be chosen based on humor, originality and most compelling argument (in that order). Sob stories are welcome, but if you tell us you’re dying, we might ask for a note from your doctor since Chicagoist readers are notorious liars.

The winner will receive two weekend passes to Intonation Fest at Union Park on June 24th and 25th, featuring artists like Roky Erickson, The Streets, Ghostface, Bloc Party, Rhymefest, Lupe Fiasco, and 90 Day Men. The contest is open through the weekend. Winners will be notified by Wednesday the 24th.

Got it? Good luck!
