Is Calling It "The Deuce" Too Over the Top?

2006_05_2ndannivgraphic.gifThough it’s still rainy and cool outside, our minds are on the summer and the Chicagoist 2nd Anniversary Party, our official kickoff to summer at the Pontiac Café with Suffrajett and DJs Coco Le Roc and Tankboy.

We're planning on it being a knock-down, drag-out time. We'd make an announcement about some of the goodies we’ve got planned, but the truth is we've been spending way too much time trying to be posthumously added to this dude's will. But we will say we'll be giving away some Chicagoist swag (hats, shirts, etc.) and promise to get you loosened up in the traditional Chicagoist way so you’re the epitome of No Shame on the dance floor.

Did we mention it's FREE?

And can we brag on our graphic just a little bit? We've been referring to it around the Chicagoist offices as "Snakes On A John Hancock" or "Trogdor vs. Chicagoist." It was put together by Alex Fuller, a talented cat whose work can be seen at afuller.com.

Keep watching the site for more details and an interview with Simi from Suffrajett.
