Party 'Til You Puke, Get Up & Do It Again

This weekend the debauchery known as Horizontal Action's Blackout will be going out with a bang at the Empty Bottle. From the stories we've read in the Reader and around the internets, the fest is unlike anything that "normal" people would gladly pay for, but then Horizontal Action has never been for the straitlaced.
Tickets sold out back in March before any bands were announced, so we admit we're being a tease by posting who's playing the rest of the weekend.
Fri. May 26th (8:00 pm, $15)

For those of us who don't have tickets and hate standing around trying to score, we can head over to the Mutiny and see the bands who didn't make the Blackout. These shows are curated by Criminal IQ Records. Friday's show begins at 6 pm. And after hitting the Blackout Brunch at Bite on Saturday at noon, it's a short cab ride back to the Mutiny for the 2 pm show. The Whiteout is free, but bring a buck or two to help out the bands.
The goal of the Blackout seems to be exactly that - partying until you just don't remember any more, having some compromising pics taken, and ruining any chances of running for office. Anarchy rules! Horizontal Action will be disappearing after this, but we look forward to their new venture Victim of Time which is a resource for checking out the schedules at live music venues across the country specializing in overlooked and underexposed music.
