What Are the Odds ... Rush Make Arena Bowl?

At the beginning of May the Chicago Rush looked as though they might miss the playoffs with a 5-9 record. Since then, the Rush have posted five straight victories, including three playoff wins, propelling them into the 20th Arena Bowl Championship match.
Football fans will remember the Pittsburgh Steelers played all their playoff matches on the road enroute to a Super Bowl title. Chicago Rush fans hope their team, who also played their entire post-season schedule on the road, can follow in their footsteps.
The Rush competed in the AFL semifinals in 2004 and 2005, but failed to make it to the championship game. On Saturday, the Rush were trailing the San Jose SaberCats in the fourth quarter but were able to mount a comeback to earn their first ever American Conference Championship defeating the SaberCats 59-56 in San Jose.
On Sunday, the Rush learned their opponent will be the Orlando Predators, who defeated the Dallas Desperados 45-28. The Rush are looking for a little payback, as they lost their last match with the Predators 55-27 in Orlando.
The Arena Bowl will be played in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 11, and will be aired live on NBC at 2pm. If Chicagoist were the betting type, we’d put our money on the Rush, since Lady Luck seems to be smiling upon them.
