The World Cup begins tomorrow morning so visit the ESPN Pick ‘Em Challenge page today and select the Chicagoist group(Group number 54837) enter password "chicagoist" to join. You don't need to provide your selection for each game when you register. You can enter your pick for each game up to an hour before the game. We are hoping our average score can best the Seattlest and Shanghaiist competitors and prove Chicago has more knowledgeable soccer fans.

Chicagoist also suggests you start complaining to your boss today about feeling ill so when you call in sick tomorrow you sound more credible. On tap tomorrow is the World Cup opener in which the Hosts Germany will take on Costa Rica at 11am followed by Poland versus Ecuador at 2pm. The United States takes to the pitch on Monday at 11am versus the Czech Republic.

Fans of the United States National Team can keep up on the team and their preparation at Studio 90 on the US Soccer website.
