Chicagoans Want To Be Last Band Standing

Now’s your chance to vote for who will Lollapalooza’s battle-of-the-bands-style contest called Last Band Standing.
Last year’s winning band was some Cincinnati outfit called The Cathedrals and we were really disappointed when we found out they were not a Van Halen cover band. That would have ruled.
This year, Chicago acts are dominating the top 10. A Birdsong Valentine, Hey Champ, The Cankles and Long Story Short are holding down spots 4, 5, 6, and 7, respectively, with Sour Deluxe coming in at number 10. In fact, Chicago acts make up 10 of the top 25 vote-getters so far. But with word of the voting heating up the MySpace bulletin boards, it’s time to start backing the home team(s) now.
We’ve included a list of Chicago bands in the running after the jump. We’re sure we missed a few, so check out this list of bands from Illinois and let us know if we did. From that page, you can click on the name of the band and vote ‘em in as your favorite. You can vote more than once, but only once a day.
