Wear Your Defiance On Your Lapel

anno_ls.jpgThe Macy’s invasion is already underway, but a group of die-hard Marshall Field’s supporters refuses to accept their beloved store’s fate. Keepitfields.org, the site that launched in an effort to fight the Macy’s name change, continues to battle on.

We don’t have the heart to tell them it’s a lost cause (OK, maybe we do). But we have to admire their defiance.

It may be a sinking ship, but they’re still boarding passengers, if you’re interested. And you’re life’s not at stake, so really, why not? All you have to do is wear a sticker and shop. That’s our kind of social activism.

The challenge is simple: Email your address to bgwinnett@hotmail.com for a free supply of “Keep It Marshall Field’s” lapel stickers. Then, simply wear one, or more (maybe nothing else?), while shopping or browsing at Field’s.

Oh, and be sure to stop by the Marshall Field’s Boutique. No home is complete without a Waterford Field’s Clock Medallion.

Feeling especially motivated? Anyone who volunteers to hand out stickers for a day or an afternoon gets a free t-shirt.

So there it is. Your call to action. Now go show Macy's who's boss.
