Intonation Music Festival 2006 in Pictures - Day One

Holy crap, we're tired. Day One of the 2006 Intonation Music Festival has come and gone and after a full day's rockin' out at Union Park, we're ready for a nap.
No major craziness or incidents to report (though we did see one jackass get escorted out by security for disobeying the no-pushing-your-way-up-to-the-front rule). So far, the fest has gained diversity thanks to a mixture of indie rock, hip-hop, metal and pop but lost a little of that sense of the whole crowd moving as one throughout the day. But we're not yet sure whether that's a bad thing or not.
Standout sets today included Jose Gonzalez, High On Fire, Roky Erickson and Lady Sovereign. We're hoping the between-sets schtick courtesy of the Windy City Heat group gets toned down for tomorrow when we'll be back out there again. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves and we'll be wrapping up all two days of Intonation, curated by Vice Magazine and Records, on Monday. But until then, check out these pictures from Saturday.
