RADIOhead

2006_06_soundopinions_radiohead.JPGUsually we’re not big proponents of the whole, “hey, look, here’s a cool link!” mentality, but this is an exception to the rule. While everyone was (rightfully) going ga-ga over the whole kick-off to the Clusterfest Season 2006 (and no, we’re not talkin' 'bout MOBfest) Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis snuck a hell of a score past the goalie.

We are mighty impressed that the two local music crit-types scored a long-ass interview with Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood (i.e. Thing 1 and Thing 2) of Radiohead. The Radioheads touch upon such a wide range of topics it would be unfair to spill any further beans … but we will say that when faced with the whole “your contract is up, can’t you go on without a major label” question they do a fair amount of dodging and weaving.

You can download the whole conversation here if you’re not already subscribed to the Sound Opinions podcast (and if you’re not, we really think you should be.)

An aside: Listen to the whole podcast. The tiff DeRo and Kot have over Nelly Furtado after the Radiohead interview is a total hoot!
