Cubs-Sox, Part II

While we questioned the ability to get up for the Cubs-Sox series a few weeks ago, in light of the White Sox World Series title along with the Cubs poor play, the on-field action between A.J. Pierzynski and Michael Barrett sure created some interest right quick!
The ensuing weeks have been far from quiet for both teams. The Cubs' Michael Barrett returns today, after serving his 10 game suspension. Brian Anderson recently returned from his 5 game suspension. Both teams have dealt with manager controversies, as the calls for Dusty Baker continue to grow, and Ozzie Guillen's anti-gay slur and hatred of Jay Mariotti have riled people up across the city.
All the off-the-field craziness is likely to take precedence over the play on the field. The players will have to be on their best behavior because they know MLB will be watching closely. And while the surging Sox have the second best record in baseball, the Cubs have the third-worst record, so it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that the Sox will take at least 2 of 3. Thankfully, Ozzie and Dusty promise to keep things interesting. We all want to see whether Ozzie can keep his foot out of his mouth longer than Dusty keeps his job!
