Dollar Dog Thursdays at U.S. Cellular Field

2006_07_ballpark.gifIn a lot of ways, the Ballpark Formerly Known as Comiskey has it over Wrigley Field hands down. There are urinals, instead of troughs, in the men's rooms, so you can pee in relative privacy (not that Chicagoist has anything to be ashamed of); the sight lines are wonderful from the concourse; walkways and aisles are wide to facilitate easy entry to, and exit from, the ball park, and to your seat; and the ballpark actually fields a major league baseball team.

U.S. Cellular Field also has better concessions. So it's with great anticipation that we're looking forward to tonight's game, as it's "Dollar Dog Thursday." Sponsored by Ball Park Franks, attendees will pay only one dollar for a hot dog. There's a limit of four per person, per visit, to the stand. This means you can make four or five trips to the hot dog vendor, load up, and go all Kobayashi on some wieners, bitches!! For you Chosen ones, kosher hot dogs (provided by Best's Kosher) will also be discounted ($2.50 per hot dog; the same limits apply). This is an ongoing promotion during all White Sox Thursday home games. If you don't make it this evening, you'll have plenty of opportunities left.

You know, this could almost qualify as a "Cheap Eats" if we hadn't paid for our ticket, already. Now if Jim Thome can keep our promise made to some sick kid to hit two home runs tonight, we'll go home doubly bloated and satisfied.
