Sheena Easton's "Baby" Would Love This

Yellow.gifThere are some ideas, good ideas, that are so simple in theory and execution; we wonder why no one has thought of them before. Ideas like:

The yellow bikes in Finland. You grab one off the street, take it to where you need to go, leave it, then someone else can pick it up and use it;

The program that has female inmates train dogs for the handicapped;

Hybrid cars;

The Roomba;

Turkey Bacon;

Salad dressing in individual packets;

And of course, stripper pants with snaps.

Well now the Evanston Library can join our elite list. The library is providing paperbacks at the Main St. Metra stop. You pick up a book at the train station, read it, and then put it back for someone else!

Wha? Really? Is it that easy to please our book-loving hearts? We think so. Sometimes, all it takes is one simple idea to give us faith in the world again.

Now, if someone would just make a surface where you could play cards at the beach without them blowing away, we could die happy.
