Never Say Never

2006_07_18naperville.jpgStrolling through our neighborhood the other day, we noticed this t-shirt in a window display. While we were a little put off by the lack of nuance and somewhat obnoxious tone of the shirt, turns out, Naperville may not be such an awful place after all.

Money Magazine ranked the suburban town No. 2 on its list of the top 10 Great American Towns. “There’s a lot to like,” the magazine said, including the Riverwalk, shopping, jazz, restaurants, plentiful green space and top college entrance exam scores.

Ft. Collins, Colo., was named the No. 1 town. Illinois had three other cities in the top 100 finalists: Aurora, Bloomington and Orland Park. Naperville came in at No. 3 on last year’s list.
