Not-So-Happy Ending for Buffalo Grove Massage Parlor

Just when you thought all the suburban cops were spending their days recovering stolen lawn decorations and lemonade stands – finally, some real police work.

An undercover Buffalo Grove police officer has ended a yearlong investigation into the illegal dealings of the GQ Spa, determining that there’s more than massage happening at the establishment.

Seriously? It took a whole year to prove there was something shady going on at the GQ Spa massage parlor? That must have been one thorough investigation.

Yon Hui Cha, a 51-year-old woman from Springfield, Va., was arrested for “allegedly initiating an act of prostitution” with the undercover officer. Surprisingly, she has no record of having a massage therapist license, but she does have an earlier conviction for “keeping or frequenting a bawdy house” in Fairfax, Va.

She has also been charged with violating the village’s massage establishment ordinance and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
