Breaking: Sniper Attacks Getting Closer

A Northwest Indiana woman says she was shot at this morning while driving on I-80/94 at Cline Ave. The Dyer, Ind., woman and a passenger were not injured in the attack. This is the second incident in Northwest Indiana in the past week. On Tuesday, a man reported seeing a man in a trench coat fire at his pickup truck on 169th St. near Cline Ave.
Several sniper attacks were reported in southern Indiana during the past week. On Sunday, a man was killed near Seymour, Ind., and police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with that shooting.
In this morning’s incident, the woman says she had just mentioned the lack of traffic on the highway when a shot glanced off the windshield of her SUV. She continued her trip to Michigan, and a helicopter was dispatched to the area to aid in the investigation.
Whether it’s a copycat sniper or the original one is still on the loose, the attacks are getting dangerously close to home.
