The Chicagoist Guide To Chicago, Version 2.0

As Pitchfork looms on the horizon with Lolla not far behind, we’re getting more and more e-mails from folks wanting to know what there is to do in the city if you’re a non-Dockers-wearing tourist. So we figured it was about time to make some updates to Act Like You’ve Been Here Before: The Chicagoist Guide To Chicago (PDF link).
The Guide has doubled in sized thanks to several new additions (sadly, none of them feature Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky or Mike). We’ve included details on some of our favorite neighborhoods and added more write-ups on bars, shops and restaurants. There are also new sections on the city’s many music and theatre venues and some design and content changes that make it more user and CTA-friendly.
Click here to download our thirty-page Guide in PDF format and stuff it in your suitcase, duffel bag, rucksack or left pocket of your cargo shorts. Or look for it in the call-out graphic on the left-hand side of the main page. Special thanks to John Zeratsky for his help with the design.
While not the definitive statement on Chicago, this little labor of love is chock-full of our favorite places. We’re planning on making more changes to The Guide in the future so let us know if you’ve got suggestions.
