Prior finished for year?

2006_06_sports_mark_prior.jpgWhile things are turning around on the South Side, things seem to be coming full circle for the Cubs. It looks like the Cubs are going to finish their 2006 campaign just like they started it, with both Kerry Wood and Mark Prior on the disabled list.

It was only two weeks ago that Kerry Wood, already on the DL, decided against surgery -- choosing rehab and a likely move to the bullpen for next year.

Now, the Cubs have placed Mark Prior on the DL again, this time because of tendinitis in his right rotator cuff. It's his third trip, and likely will end his season, too. With the Cubs having already thrown in the towel, there's no point in rushing his return. Maybe they can actually get him healthy enough to open next season on the active roster.
