Craving Adventure

2006_08_tosh.jpgChicago's very own Misty Tosh has gone global.

Better known around these parts for her Raving Dish food and restaurant reviews in Centerstage, Tosh recently announced that the Travel Channel this week will air "Craving Adventure," a food/adventure/travel show that finds Tosh Nicaragua and developed in part with her Fatcake production team.

Described by the Travel Channel as "Misty Tosh vists Little Corn Island, Nicaragua and discovers the best place to sample rondon soup, minty mojitos, and hand-slung coconut bread. Then she is off to the Caribbean where she hunts for barracuda and learns to filet it with a machete," Chicagoist thinks that "Craving Adventure" is better translated by Tosh's herself:

"Misty shows up on some wildly tropical island, gets hammered, slams down some fish
head stew, rips apart a wild barracuda and stuffs her face with homemade coconut bread."

Craving Adventure airs Thursday, August 24, at 8 p.m. on the Travel Channel.
