Welcome to the Jungle, Baby

When people are visiting from out-of-town, and they ask us for restaurant recommendations, we tend to steer them in the direction of Chicago's most fabulous food forum, LTHForum.com. Specifically, we tell them to get on over to the thread for the group's Great Neighborhood Restaurant Awards because, whether you agree with the selections or not, there is a wealth of fantastic places from which to choose.
Today, Michael Morowitz over at Eat Chicago, another Chicagoist favorite, alerts us to the upgraded version of LTHForum's GNR Map. Morowitz says, "The map now provides descriptions along with the contact info and link to the relevant thread on LTHForum. Also, the markers are color-coded by the date the restaurant received the award."
This map kicks ass. Seriously. Gigantic, huge ass. We can't applaud the folks over at LTHForum enough for their efforts in making these upgrades. It's user-friendly and helpful. Plus, it's really hard to go wrong when you're working off of suggestions made by some of the city's best culinary minds.
