Pull out your worst pair of "Bad Pants" and wear them to the 9th Annual "Bad Pants" Charity Golf Open on September 11 at Indian Lakes Resort.
Don't worry if you have Bad Pants and poor golf skills. According to Indian Lakes Resort Director of Golf, Tom Denklau, "It is the only golf outing where the participant's pants matter more than their score. All participants are required to wear ugly golf pants. The winner of the ugliest golf pants will be inducted into the Bad Pants Hall of Fame." After each tournament the player with the worst pants is required to surrender their pants for enshrinement in the resort's Masters Clubhouse Restaurant for display throughout the year.
The event is sponsored by the Wheaton Firefighters Union and the proceeds of benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). "The money raised at the Bad Pants Open will allow the Muscular Dystrophy Association to continue providing vital services and programs at no cost to those we serve," said Program Coordinator of MDA, Ellen Scieszka.
The cost of the event is $110.00, which includes 18-holes of golf, cart with GPS, Bad Pants Open hat and a barbecue lunch. The outing will begin with a shotgun start at 9am. For anyone wanting to participate in the banquet lunch only, the cost is $40.00. The lunch starts at 1:30pm and can accommodate 650 guests. To register for the event, purchase a ticket for the banquet lunch, or inquire about sponsorship opportunities, call Mike Franzone at 630-330-2299 or visit their website.
