Furry Friends Foundation Closing, Seeks Loving Homes

Warning: If you cannot resist desperate fuzzy faces with cool, wet noses and whiskers, then do not read any further.

The Furry Friends Foundation is closing due to a decision by the FFF Board of Trustees, and the organization is making a big push to place all of its animals in homes by Oct. 15. In addition to the 20 dogs either at the shelter or in foster care, FFF has about 85 cats and kittens and handful of guinea pigs dying to come home with you. The organization has been sending out emails to its volunteer list to pass the word around and because Chicagoist cannot resist a homeless animal, we are here to pass the word along to you. 2006_8_29_FFF2.jpg
The foundation recommends those interested in becoming new pet parents go to their Web site to read about the available animals then fill out the Guardianship Application ASAP. They also prefer you direct any inquiries to fff_furryfriends@yahoo.com rather than calling the shelter.

Also, if you have adopted a pet from the FFF in the past, they request you change the microchip registration because the chips are currently registered through the foundation.
