Chicago Celebs Pimp for Gap

We like the wacky antics of Jeremy Piven. And, we also like the comfy basics of the Gap. Together? We like them not so much. Piven, along with Common, is one of the new faces of the Gap’s T-shirt campaign. The ads also feature Mia Farrow, Natasha Bedingfield, Pete Wentz and other semi-famed types. piven.jpg

Common gets smoldering down pretty well. No complaints there. But, Piven looks like he’s about to molest us. We’re sorry, but it’s just not working. Not to be too hard on the Gap. We’re likin’ the new denim ads. Very edgy. And, T-shirts?

The Gap’s VP of marketing says, “From preppy-striped Ts to rock-and-roll graphics, Gap is introducing a wide range of new styles and silhouettes to help you express your personal style." Great, we are so behind this idea. We love our tees, so the more choices, the better.

We’ve always enjoyed the Gap’s celebrity-infused campaigns. Remember the ones with Madonna and Missy Elliott dancing? Yeah, those were fun. However, to the Gap we say: less Ari, more Aaron (Oh, and Pete looks like a spaz, but at least he’s clothed).
