Broadband Rock

It’s tough work to put together a good rock show; trust us, we know. Unfortunately, the folks at Radio Free Chicago and Future Perfect Radio learned it firsthand this week.
GB posted yesterday that The Dirty Things dropped out of RFC’s Bandwith event planned for this Friday. According to an e-mail sent by the band to the site, it’s a case of "lead singer disease". By the end of the day yesterday, things were looking up as All City Affairs stepped it to fill the spot on the bill.
Bandwith celebrates the re-launch of Radio Free Chicago and the one-month anniversary of Future Perfect Radio at The Kinetic Playground (1113 W. Lawrence, across from the Aragon). RFC is a blogroll favorite of ours with live music reviews, interviews, and previews of new releases. FPR is a new one on us, but we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on it.
As for the event itself, All City Affairs joins Coltrane Motion and Skybox for some live rocking with DJ LA Jesus and the Radio Free DJs on the wheels of steel. CD giveaways and other goodies are promised with abundant $2 beers. Cover is $7 or $5 for students.
