UIC Flames Burning up the Pitch

Two local collegiate soccer programs clash on Wednesday night at University of Illinois at Chicago's Flames Field. The UIC Flames, ranked 10th in the nation, take on Northwestern University at Flames Field at 7:00 p.m. in a Great Lakes Region battle.
Northwestern's offense will have to work hard to score a goal against the top collegiate defense that has only allowed 4 goals in 12 games for an average of .33 goals against per game. UIC Goalkeeper Jovan Bubonja has tied a UIC single-season record for clean sheets at 6 while earning a #3 ranking nationally for his .907 save percentage. Bubonja and the defense has helped UIC earn keep an undefeated record at Flames Field this year.
The UIC Flames hit the road after tonight’s game for a three-game road trip before returning home to finish the regular season against University of Wisconsin Green Bay on October 22.
