Weekend Jaunts: Sunday Edition

By Timmy Watson in Miscellaneous on Oct 15, 2006 5:31PM

After a day of seeing great art we can’t think of anything better than going to see some great fashion.

• Head over to The Lot, 2038 W. North Ave. before it closes for the year (October 29.) The Lot is a spot where rotating vendors sell homemade clothes, vintage clothes, jewelry as well as other surprises. The Lot is just what it sounds like, a rare empty space near the Damen Blue Line stop. Don’t be fooled, the goods are much more creative than the name.

• Then, you can put on your new goods and go to Park West, 322 W Armitage, to see Regina Spektor. The piano player with a voice to makes you weep goes on at 7:30 p.m.

• The Akira Fashion Show and Silent Auction is happening today at 1837 W North Ave. Akira has a smattering of stores in this area, we look forward to seeing all the clothing put together in a show. The show is from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. $10 at the door and there will be a cash bar.
