• A new report says that more African-American women die of breast cancer than white women. The rates are going up for African-Americans and down for whites. And it's worse here in Chicago than in other parts of the US.
• A 12-year-old boy was sitting at his computer in his South Side home, when he got shot in the mouth by a stray bullet.
• Last week a Kane County Board candidate was arrested on sexual assault charges. Yesterday he died when his car crashed head-on into a concrete bridge support. They think it was suicide.
