Get Wrapped in Truffles for Just 50 Bucks!

Few things make Chicagoist happier than facials, body wraps and massages. Except maybe chocolate. And saving money.
Lucky for us, the cosmos have aligned, and our three loves have come together as part of Spa Week.
Started in Manhattan in 2004, spa week allows people in ten cities across the country to take advantage of full-service treatments normally costing from $100 to $200 for just $50.
We heard about this yesterday in the latest issue of Time Out Chicago, and as the specials are wrapping up this week, had resigned ourselves to having to pay full price for our microdermabrasions and ginseng facials. As we are generally hopeful people, however, we gave a few salons a buzz, and were thrilled to be able to book a “Chocolate Truffle Body Wrap” at salon-to-the-stars Channing’s Day Spa.
The full list of participants is available online at www.spaweek.org (requires quick registration). Some of the highlights include the 60 Minute Hot Stone Massage at Siren Salon, the 75 Minute Continuum Studio Signature Facial With Eyebrow Shaping at the Continuum Studio, and the 45 Minute Microdermabrasion Or Chemical Peel With No Down Time at Thrive Integrative Medical Spa.
In an effort to save you some time, trendy Roque Beauty Lounge was booked, although they did mention Breast Cancer Awareness Month specials, including a manicure and pedicure for $31. A plethora of other salons and spas in the city and 'burbs also have $31 specials, benefiting the Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization.
