Who Is It?

2006_10_who_is_it.jpgEarlier this week we told you not to miss Mojica tonight at Cobra. What we didn't tell you, because we actually didn't know at the time, is that Mojica is opening for a very special surprise mystery guest.

While we still can't tell you who that guest is, at the request of the band itself, we can tell you that this is a show you do not want to miss. We're actually a little (okay, alot) surprised that Cobra was able to snag this particular band, but we don’t really care since the performance is sure to be historic. This band was one of favorites during our formative rebellious teenage years, and we are super-psyched to see them play for the first time in a loooong time.

We would recommend getting there EARLY, since space will be very limited and the bar will be VERY strict about keeping the attendance well within safe limits.

As a matter of fact, we're already in line. So nyah nyah.

UPDATE: Yes, this is the band.

PSA: We have been informed that only 250 people will be allowed to attend, and 150 of those spots are reserved for people on the band's list. Count out another dozen or two spaces for employees of the club, and another dozen or two "friends" of the owner, and you're looking at a very limited number of any other folks getting in.

Hell, even we have come to grips with the fact that WE'RE not getting in to see them, damnit!

However, one can always still lay out the dough to catch the band at Riot Fest 2006 next month, so all hope is not lost.

Also, we should underscore the fact that this reunion includes Bill Stephens, and not the legendary John Haggerty, on guitar.

UPDATE: Cobra is now listing the show as SOLD OUT, and we would take them at their word if we were you. If you're not on the list, don't even bother showing up, because you are not getting in...
