Biupsetti's

Biasettis10_20.jpgIt’s a sad, sad day. First we lose the Zephyr, now we’re losing another the-food-isn’t-
as-good-as-it-was-but-it-represented-
a-lot-more-because-of-its-atmosphere-
and-character restaurant, the beloved Biasetti’s on Irving Park is now closed.

We discovered Biasetti’s a little late in the game, but were supremely happy when we walked in and saw the big, gray hair of old-school Chicago couples munching on steak and lob, sipping manhattans, boxcars and robroys. On weekends there was usually a singing piano-player singing the same lyrics over and over. We’ll also miss the disgusting but awesome antipasto plate before the meal.

We’re already grieving Biasetti's and its bygone-era charm. We were just planning on taking an out-of-town friend there this weekend too. Boo.
