Weekend Jaunts: Sunday Edition

By Timmy Watson in Arts & Entertainment on Oct 22, 2006 4:35PM

Even though we are to have remnants of a typhoon today, it looks pretty decent out. We know, since there is no Bears game you will be watching the Chicago Marathon online (we clicked on one of the video links, pretty boring stuff.) Those things will be winding down early enough in the day to catch some of these events. As always, feel free to add events in the comments section.

  • While ResFest, 220 E. Chicago, has been going on for a few days, this afternoon looks to be incredible. At 3:30 p.m. you can get in for $10, and you will be able to see “Radiohead, the Visionaries: A Decade of Breaking New Talent.” There is also a free -- that's right, free -- after-party at Sonotheque, 1444 W. Chicago.

  • We know it seems like we always throw an art walk in, but there has honestly been a good one every week. We are hoping the Fulton Arts Walk is no different. Located at 1000 W. Fulton Market, you can check out the galleries in the area and see some music and dance. The arts walk runs until 6 p.m.
  • Then you can head downtown to the AMC River East Theater, 322 E. Illinois, for the American Black Film Festival. The complete schedule is here, and the anticipated film Traci Townsend plays at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.50 per screening.
