Might As Well Get a Good Story out of It

Three armed men pulled off a heist of an armored truck guard this morning outside of a South Side bank. Maybe this won't add to the record number of bank robberies in Chicago since it technically took place outside the bank, but for sheer ballsiness, it should. The three pulled up in the bank parking lot in a minivan -- a stolen minivan, that is -- and pointed handguns at a guard standing next to the truck. They demanded he hand over his gun and two bags of cash that he was carrying, and they got away with at least a few thousand dollars.
Chicagoist doesn't want to glorify violence here, but if you're going to knock over a bank, that's the way to do it, so you can at least brag about it in the pen. No more of this pansy-ass handing a note to the teller. Of course, we'll also be here to laugh at these guys after they get caught with purple dye all over themselves when the anti-theft devices in those money bags explode.
