Weekend Jaunts: Saturday Edition

If there is one thing we aren’t doing this weekend, it’s going to see Borat. The mass amount of advertising and media coverage of Borat has inadvertently allowed him to seep into our dreams and now we are in the process of detoxing. To help you detox from overexposure to Borat, we have provided a few things to keep you busy today.
- The British arts collective, Blast Theory, will be running the streets of Chicago this weekend looking for you. As part of an interactive online game of chase, the collective will be using GPS trackers and laptops to hunt for you. Once you register you can play from home or from the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago. The game is from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. today.
- Micah P. Hinson has a voice to yearn for. (Ladies, we know you like the deep gravely voices.) Tonight at Schubas, 3159 N. Southport, Micah will be joined by The Lesser Birds of Paradise for what we are billing as the saddest show on Earth. No matter, we wouldn’t suggest missing it.
- If you didn’t participate in the Fast Forward Film Festival this year you can still catch 25 of the horror films at the Dessa Kirk Studio, 3109 W. Lake, at 8 p.m. The films being shown were all shot specifically for the Festival and were all done in less than 21 hours. They will undoubtedly have some pretty amazing unedited footage of our fair city, horror style.
