Weekend Jaunts: Sunday Edition

By Timmy Watson in News on Nov 19, 2006 3:00PM

Plenty to do on this lazy Sunday, and oh yes, this includes toys and circus cats. As always, feel free to add more events in the comments section.

  1. From 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. today the 2006 Chicago International Toy and Game Fair takes place at the Schaumburg Convention Center. There will be a giant 8-foot jenga, a moonwalk, other giant board games, and huge slides. We don't feel we offer enough kid friendly events so we're tossing you a bone. Besides, as big kids we are very intrigued by an 8-foot tall jenga game.
  2. Tonight at Music Box Crispin Glover will be in town to introduce his film, What Is It?. Glover will also be doing a book signing and showing some type of slide show, titled, The Big Slide Show. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $20 at the door.
  3. As we explained earlier in the week, we love us some cats. Tonight at Mars Gallery, 1139 W. Fulton, you can see some real life circus cats. These felines skateboard, ring bells, roll barrels, climb ladders, walk a high ladder and will even play you some rock n' roll. A little slice of heaven for $5. There are two shows, one at 4:30 p.m. and one at 6:30 p.m.
