2. Takashi Yagihashi, who won the James Beard award for Best Chef in the Midwest in 2003, opened a noodle stand on the 7th floor of Macy's on State Street today. He's also scouting locations in the West Loop and River North to open a high-end restaurant.
3. Three Illinois students were named Rhodes Scholars.
