Fight Road Rage. Save Limbs.

A South Side woman is in a whole bunch of trouble today after a serious bout of road rage. Athena Morris, 49, didn’t feel like waiting for the ambulance in front of her to move out of the way yesterday afternoon, so she drove onto the sidewalk to get around it.
Paramedics were loading a patient into the ambulance, when she drove toward them on the sidewalk. One paramedic reached inside her car window and tried to turn off the ignition. Morris promptly rolled the window up, trapped the paramedic's arm and tried to drive away.
She hit several cars before getting out of the car and trying to run. Police arrested her near the accident scene. They later learned that she had been driving a rental car “without authorization,” which we’re pretty sure means, “that she stole.”
Morris was charged with aggravated battery and cited for failing to carry her driver’s license, reckless driving, criminal trespass to a vehicle and leaving the scene of the accident.
Luckily, the paramedic didn't lose and arm, and won't have to fall back on the Second Amendment.
