Weekend Jaunts: Saturday Edition

Our appetite has been out of control lately, you'd think we were pregnant or something. But, no Chicagoist Jr's in the picture just yet. We blame the abnormal appetite on the hibernating we have doing because of the cold. Well, we are helping you join us this weekend as we bring you some delicious events.
- Head over the Ann Sather, 929 W. Belmont, for the annual Winter-Warm up. This tradition marks our coldest day on record, reached on this day in 1985. Ann Sather offers complimentary soup from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Your choices are cream of chicken noodle, potato dill and yellow pea. Yellow pea is supposedly a sign of bad health, but that's what we are recommending.
- Sunday is where the real food is at. Red Ivy, 3525 N. Clark, is offering a Bears tailgate package for $19 that includes beer, pizza, and sandwiches. Call 708-636-0909 to make a reservation for the event, which runs from noon - 2 p.m.
- We haven't been to Pontiac Cafe, 1531 N. Damen, since the temperature dropped below 80, but this Sunday sounds pretty great. Fried Chicken for $9.99, $3 Lone Star and Wild Turkey shots sounds like quite a celebration for a Bears win. Oh, and did we mention Fulton County Line and Honky Tonk Bingo?
