Focus on the Sales

With the combination of the last of the end-of-season sales and some old Mag Mile and State Street outposts closing shop, every store seems to be selling their goods at bargain basement prices. We wandered into Lord & Taylor for one of the first times ever to check out their merchandise, and came away with a wonderful dress at an even more wonderful price. We don't think we're necessarily ready for the resort wear we see in J. Crew's Michigan Avenue windows (largely because we're not really interested in throwing on resort wear any time of the year), so load up on some much-needed sweaters now, before the good prices — and some of our famous stores — blow out of town.
