Weekend Jaunts

07_02_03_picassobear.jpgHonestly, we are having trouble thinking of anything other than the Bears. We don’t specifically attribute it to a one track mind; it is hard to ignore buildings, t-shirts, and cab drivers telling us Go Bears. We have something a little tame for you this weekend, other than that grab a Konig Ludwig Weiss or opt for the non-alchoholic Clausthaler and enjoy!

  • Katja von Garnier is one of our favorite directors, mostly because we are obsessed with Underworld. She is back with Blood and Chocolate, a story of werewolves and love. What better way to fight the cold than to head to the Kerasotes, 2600 N. Western Ave, and cuddle with a pretty lady or a striking lad.
  • Get all that lovin’ in, because most of your weekend is going to be spent inebriated and/or staring at a television. Today, in what is being billed as a “Bears Pep Rally”, Piece will be giving you some fodder for your love of the Bears. The first 100 people get a free t-shirt (which have jumped in price 200%) and they will be showing key plays from the season. The event takes place today from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at 1927 W. North Ave.
  • In order to keep warm and get nice and sloshed, Small Bar is throwing a game day party and chili-cook off. The chili-cook off winner will get their recipe on the menu for the entire month of February. Stick around for the game for a $12 tailgate platter, $5 chardogs with fries and $4 Small Beer drafts from Anchor Brewing Co.
