Weekend Jaunts

Normally we are proud of the fact that we don't own a car, what with auto fatalities rising, global warming, and the always increasing dependence on oil. But, those things mean nothing when the wind is nipping at you like a thousand angry piranhas. So this weekend we are going to get re-acquainted with our four wheeled counterparts. After that we are going to reserve a car here, or here, and enjoy our weekend.
- As we mentioned earlier in the week, the Chicago Auto Show rolled into town and it is shaping up to be a good one. Mostly we are going to see the Bentley Continental GT. Shit's hot. Check out some of our pictures of the auto show here and head to the McCormick Center.
- The Eighth Annual Around the Coyote Winter Arts Festival is going on today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. Catch paintings, sculpture, mixed-media, and poetry from Chicago artists at the Flat Iron Building, 1579 N Milwaukee.
- We don't normally think of beer and chocolate as complementary to each other, but this sounds great. For $35 you can get five dark ales from Unibroue and ten chocolates from Scharffen Berger from Hopleaf, 5148 N. Clark. Could you imagine any better way to spend a Sunday? We didn't think so. Reps from Unibroue and Scharffren Berger will be on hand for any questions, which will probably be pretty interesting after five beers.
