By Todd McClamroch in News on Feb 15, 2007 3:21PM

2007_02_15_harry_toast.jpgTonight at 5:30 is the 9th Annual Worldwide Toast to Harry Caray. It is estimated that fans in as many as 81 countries will raise a glass, likely a cold Bud, in honor of the Hall of Fame announcer.

Caray's widow Dutchie Caray will be joined by other Chicago celebrities like Ryne Sandberg and Bill Kurtis at Harry Caray's Restaurant tonight at 5:30 for the festivities. Worldwide celebrities like Jeremy Piven, Jim Belushi, Jeff Garlin, Harold Ramis, Stephen and Billy Baldwin (we use the term celebrity loosely with those two) will participate in the toast.

In a sign that the Cubs are preparing properly for the 2007 season, Lou Piniella will gather the troops in a dugout in Arizona for the toast. Visit the Harry Caray Restaurant website for a full list of establishments that are participating in the toast. If you can't make it out in person tune your radio to WLS 890 AM from 5-7pm to listen to the Roe Conn show which will be broadcast from Harry Caray's and Roe will serve as Toast Master.

Let’s get some runs…
