Make Your Own League at the Sears Centre

2007_02_28_searscentre.jpgThe Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates is quickly becoming the home of any team that wants to play there. Since its recent opening, the Sears Centre has been the home of the Major Indoor Soccer League Chicago Storm, National Lacrosse League Chicago Shamrox and even the Chicago Hounds of the United Hockey League.

As you might have noticed from reading Extra, Extra last night, Chicago now also has a new indoor football team, the Chicago Slaughter. Despite Chicago already having a champion Arena Football League team, a group of Chicago investors felt comfortable taking ownership of this new franchise from the previous New York-based investors. The Slaughter will be competing in the Continental Indoor Football League.

Chicagoist is contemplating buying part ownership in a broomball franchise to play at the Sears Centre. What sport is Chicago missing that could be hosted at the Sears Centre on nights they are not hosting soccer, lacrosse, football and hockey?
