And Don't Let The Door Hit You On The Ass On The Way Out!!!

It's only a delicious rumor right now, but Crain's Chicago Business is whispering hints that with the recent mayoral election taken care of, King Daley can now turn his focus to other things. Like getting rid of Frank Kruesi.

2007_03fired.jpgOf course, it can't be as cut and dry as that, but we can get our hopes up, can't we? Apparently, the Sun-Times reported that ol' Frank would take over the job runnning the O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP). As we sat around the Chicagoist offices, a co-worker replied, "Are they out of their minds? Sending him to the O'Hare Project? Well, I guess he does know how to work where budgets and deadlines have no meaning."

But Daley’s spokeswoman, Jacquelyn Heard, has flatly denied that report. When asked if Daley had someone else in mind to head up the CTA, she said, “In any administration, there are periods in which there is change. It’s no different with this administration.” Hmmm. That's not a real ringing endorsement, ey? But O'Hare has coyotes amongst many things; we don't think they really need any more problems.

Back in October, we started a Kreusi Dead Pool with the winner winning a long-sleeved Chicagoist t-shirt. So, get your guesses in! We always default to our Piscean ways and picked March 5th, and we might not have been too far off! Sucks to get canned on a Monday, though. Seeing as how we write for the joint, we don't think we're eligible for a prize. So, get your guess in!
